Remembering Robert Menck

Longtime New England Swimming and YMCA official, Bob Menck died on July 21 at the age of 59 due to a heart condition.

Bob worked meets across the country ranging from New England Seniors, the NCAA Division I Championships, YMCA Nationals, and others.

Before his passing, he was named an official for the 2021 US Olympic Trials. He also served on the NES Board of Directors as the Chair of the Technical Committee and, most recently, was the NES Board Vice-Chair of Program Operations.

Bob was a role model, mentor, and a close friend of YMCA and USA Swimming.  He was a good man, well respected by all, as well as a great ambassador to the sport of competitive swimming.

He will be missed by many.  Rest in Peace, Bob
